Jake T. Austin made a very special TV appearance today with his onscreen siblings David Henrie and Selena Gomez on the ABC talk show, The View.
Jake reminisced for a bit with Whoopi Goldberg, one of the shows hosts, since he first met her a few years ago when they were both recording voiceovers for the animated film Everyone’s Hero. Jake was so happy to see her again and told her, “You were just so nice to me and I really appreciate that.” Wasn’t that so sweet of him to say??
Jake charmed the rest of the hosts by reenacting his voice for the title character of the Disney’s animated show Go, Diego, Go! The voice for Diego is different from how his voice normally sounds when he’s just talking so he explained how he created the voice for the animated character: “I remember getting the audition and it saying i’s basically a boy version of Dora and my voice was high enough as it is when I was 9 so I just did my imitation of Dora and it sounded somewhat more masculine which I guess worked out in my favor.”
The Wizards of Waverly Place siblings talked about the exciting buzz about the show’s Emmy nomination. Jake revealed that he actually found out the big news just from looking around on Twitter one morning!
Don’t forget to tune into the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie on August 28 at 8:00 pm and click here to see the full interview of Jake, David, and Selena on The View.
